John DeSalvo was born and raised by his mother in the Bronx, New York.
As a child growing up his grandfather used to take him to see the New York Yankees play. He's a BIG FAN to this day.
He studied acting at the "School for Film and Television" in NYC and also attended other various schools and workshops throughout New York & Los Angeles.
John landed his first television gig on "Saturday Night Live" in the famous Schmitz beer parody with Chris Farley and Adam Sandler.
He gained stage and theatre experience playing the leads in the off-Broadway production's of "Welcome to your Fantasy" and "Renaissance".
He beat out thousands of other hopefuls in a nation-wide search and landed a spot on the last year of Ed McMahon's"Star Search" as a spokes-model in 1995.
John had his own world-wide Calendar's in 1996 & 1997 with Landmark Calendar's.
He has modeled and been seen on the cover of over 1500 Romance and Sci-Fi novels, along with posters distributed throughout the world.
He has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Inside Edition, Regis, and CBS 48 Hours.
At the 2006 Tribecca Film Festival, Bonnie Hunt, star of "Jumanji", "The Green Mile", and "Cheaper by the Dozen, and "The Bonnie Hunt Show,was quoted saying "John Looks like a star and has that rare star quality".
John is also a certified personal trainer and fitness professional with AFAA, (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America).
Along with being a motor sports and motorcycle enthusiast, John also has his CDL drivers license and can drive a Big Rig.
He is disciplined, fit, and has the dexterity of a pro athlete and magnificent boxing skills. When he trains, he trains with zeal, intensity, and sustains a healthy diet year round.
